Did you know that your favourite beverage can also have the bonus effect of making you more pretty? Now, first thing’s first. You’re beautiful exactly as you are. But let’s be honest, there are days when we all need a confidence boost and when we can use something as simple as coffee to get that boost, then why not give it a shot?
When you feel good, you look good, and much of feeling good comes from body confidence. Using coffee to make you more pretty can certainly help your confidence levels and that can only be a good thing!
Read on to learn five simple ways coffee can make you more pretty:
1. Coffee Can Be Used to Make Your Hair Shinier and Stronger
If your hair is suffering from dryness or just a general lack lustre, using coffee can give it an injection of life. It will look healthier meaning it will shine, and the coffee can also strengthen your hair and help to prevent split ends.
Simply mix coffee grinds with your normal conditioner. Massage through your hair concentrating on the ends. Leave it on for around half an hour and rinse.
For really good hair, be brave and rinse it off with cold water. This closes the cuticles of your hair reducing the visibility of split ends and making your hair smoother.
2. Coffee Can Be Used as a Face Mask
When it’s time for a face mask, instead of reaching for your usual chemical filled mask, do your skin a favour and instead reach for the coffee!
Simply mix coffee powder with water to form a paste and apply evenly to the skin. Leave it on for two-three minutes and rinse with tepid water.
This will unclog your pores, remove microscopic bacteria and fungi and can even help to reduce the appearance of fine lines if used regularly.
3. Coffee Can Liven Up Brown Hair
If you’re a natural brunette who wants a slightly darker, warmer colour, then coffee is a great short term solution. Instead of using a semi-permanent dye that can cause havoc with your hair, use your favourite drink instead!
Mix coffee grounds and water into a thick paste. Shampoo and condition your hair as normal then massage the paste evenly through your hair. Leave it on for ten to fifteen minutes then rinse out using plain, warm water. The added bonus to this one is that your hair will smell gorgeous too!
4. Coffee Can Reduce Under Eye Circles and Brighten Up Tired Eyes
You know when you do something silly like go for one drink that turns into ten the night before a big event and when you wake up, your eyes tell the world exactly what you’ve done? Yes, we’ve all been there!
Coffee can help your eyes to keep your secret! Mix coffee powder, dark chocolate slivers and water into a paste and spread evenly under your eyes and on the lids. Leave on for five minutes then wash it off with cold water to reduce dark circles, remove puffiness and generally open up your eyes!
It won’t hurt to brew a pot of coffee to drink to make you feel more alert too!
5. Coffee Can Reduce Cellulite
If you’re someone who spends a fortune on expensive creams to reduce the appearance of cellulite, then this one will save you a lot of money too. Make the same coffee scrub as we used for your face mask and add in a handful of sea salt. Massage the affected areas. This will exfoliate your skin and improve blood flow to the area, which, over time, can drastically reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Why not treat yourself to an at home spa day and try some of these out!
